So why not start off this blog with a little 'homemade light box' fun?
So, today I noticed that when I attempt to take photographs of the felt work I do, pottery or any other object of my liking...the lighting is terrible! Last year I bought a light kit for portraits and even though I use these lights it's just too overpowering, washing out the object. So today I ended an era of bad lighting. I build myself a...LIGHT BOX!
Firstly, I took a large cardboard box. Cutting out the top and both sides of the box I then taped tracing paper over the sides, creating a nice white diffusing barrier for the light to pass through. I set my two large lights up on either side, creating even diffused lighting inside the box. Voila! Homemade light box. I was very proud, I must say. The only problem is that the box is quite large and delicate and so tough to store.
I was so excited that I photographed everything I could find. I am excited as now I will be able to take some very nice photographs of the felt objects I make. Yippee!
